Carly's Spa Experience

Today my little girl is eleven! For her birthday I gave to her what most girls would love to have - a spa experience including a facial, manicure, pedicure, and hair treatment.

As her feet soaked in warm water, milk (great for the skin), and lavender essential oil (for relaxing), her hands soaked in warm soapy water. I then put Log Cabin syrup in her hair, it conditions and prevents split ends. While this sat under a shower cap, I cleansed her face with plain yogurt, perfect for cleansing and tightening pores. Next was a facial of mashed bananas and honey, the perfect moisturizer. I applied vitamin E oil to her cuticles and finished with a manicure & pedicure.

She was not impressed. Actually, she was pretty grossed out by the facials and hair treatment.

Kids.

I still enjoyed pampering her, though.

Celebrating Ali

One of my best friends, Ali, loves celebrating BIG with all her pals. For her 25th birthday we traveled to San Diego and went to Sea World. For 30 we went to Vegas. And for 35 we went to Napa! It was the perfect way to celebrate. We enjoyed fabulous wine, delicious food, and great times with friends. One of my favorite places was Cuvaison. If I ever get to own a vineyard and open a winery I hope it looks as incredible as this. If you get the chance, all 10 of us recommend the S Block Chardonnay. Cheers, Ali. Pioneer Spirit

Cooper (camp name Slash) made some great friends this week (pictured here with Myles, aka Blue) as we traveled back in time to the pioneer days during Girl Scout Day Camp. This year I had the great pleasure of spending my days at Boys Camp with Slash and 15 other boys, ages 8-12. What a blessing to meet these boys and spend time with them. Truly an adventure!
